Barrikade® is a novel low density, non combustible, inorganic material consisting of exfoliated Vermiculite granules bonded with an alkali-silicate based binder.

Barrikade® can be supplied in sheet form or moulded to form shaped products and can be easily machined. Barrikade® core will adhere to a range of materials including aluminium, steel, wood, composites etc. Being lightweight, it is ideally suited as a core material for sandwich structures, and typical applications for the material are fire doors and panels in buildings, ships and heat shields.
